Abstract This study was carried out to reveal the parasitic platyhelminthes tha,t may infest four species have been choosen for that purpose namely Bagrus , Clarias lazera , Schil ystus and ynodontis schall collected from various localities in Giza and Cairo. It was clarified that the examined fishes were nc.tural hosts for sixteen species of different platyh lminthes , identified as four !bnogenetic treinatodes, nine Digenetic trematodes and three Cestodes Out of 34C examined fish , 296 (67.06 %) were infested with flat worms The highest rate of infestation was recorded in Schi1c.retus (95.83 ) followed by ynodontis schall (86.02 %) then yad (83.33 %). ‘Maile the lowest rate was in Clarias lazera (81.01 ) Schilbe y.tus was infested only with 1onogenetic trematodes,identified as Schilb m acornis nd Sob ejtrDi, bicornis |
