Abstract Ganglia are the most common soft tissue tumours in the hand and are defined as thin-walled cystic tumours with viscousb jelly-like contents(like synovial fluid) Atumour which is almost invariable in contact with a fibrous joint capsule or fibrous tendon sheath. The etiology has been disputed ; traumatic causation have been clamed to cause rent in joint capsule or tendon sheath from which ganglia originate ;howeverr a lot of cases deny trauma about 50%. |
