Abstract The Discrete Ordinate Method is considered as the most accurate techniques commonly used in the neutron transport problems. For its rather computing times than that of the alternative Carlo method and also because of its flexibility different media, it has been adopted in ( thesis to ~olve the problem of the computations of factor and the albedo of double-layered The concept of the neutron build-up factor and albedo-data recently used in the analysis va,-ious practical applications in the fields of radiation protection, design of neutron therapy, neutron-diagnostics, of heating in a shield and neutron-radlogauglng. The use of the bUild-up factors can simplify the lculations in most of the applications In . the above fields because the neutron flux can be repre- in a simple mathematical form which enables car- out the succeeding calculations. Also using the bedo-data the complicated geometry of the problems be simplified in replacing the double layered by neutron planar sources. A systematic Investigation of the effect of the |
