Abstract Systematic care and attention IS required to keep equipment in -good working order. In any industrial enterprise a general system of planned or scheduled preventive maintenance is used not only to keep equipment at its rated productivity and original accuracy, but also to ensure its full and uninterrupted system. The essence of this system is to gIve each machine or mechanism regular inspection and Various Preventive Maintenance at definite intervals according to a schedule. The condition Based Maintenance IS one of the recently developed programs III maintenance. It IS based on respective measurement III order to determine the condition of the Machine. The main objective of this work is to schedule the condition Based Maintenance. This objective is verified by using a mathematical model for economic shutdown using CBM. - To establish the main objective, some steps have to be followed; these are: 1- Definition the bathtub curve characteristics. 2- Formulation bathtub curve characteristics and probability. 3- Construction of the Economic shutdown Mathematical modeL 4- Definition of the variables of the modeL 5- Definition the Mathematical model constraints. 6- Calculation of the total cost of production elements in the economic shutdown modeL The computer plays a main role to identify the research objective. Some COBOL program were designed for CBM scheduling using economic shutdown model. The scheduling of CBM using Economic shutdown model was applied 111 the dyestuff and chemical company to the following Machines:- 1. Rotary screw air compressor (SSR/18L) (code 12/13/803) (Unit A) 2. Nitrogen turbine (N2 turban) (code 12/28/300) (Unit B) 3. Feed pump (power saturation) (code 20/04/240) (Unit C) 4. Feed pump (water station) (code 29/02/207) (Unit D) 5. Pesticide plant Feed pump motor (code 14/07/210) (Unit E) The results of CBM scheduling that can be concluded from this work are:- 1- The relationship between the bathtub curve and the probability density function is formulated. 2- The production elements cost based on the chart of account is formulated. 3- The Economic shutdown l’vIathematical model for calculating the optimum shutdown time is formulated. From the research results, the CBIVI is more economical, more safe, high accurate, the CBM scheduling using the economic shutdown Mathematical model is dynamic and proper for the chemical, and petroleum plants, power plants, water plants, and any large enterprise. |
