Abstract Influence Of Soil Temperature On The Microbial Population Metabolizing Nitric Oxide Nitric oxide (NO) and nitrous oxide (N2O)are two important gas species hat affect the photochemistry and chemistry of the earth’s atmosphere. Both gases are produced and consumed by soil microorganisms and eventually released into the atmosphere. The purpse of the present investigation was an attembt to investigate the production and consumption of NO as a function of soil temperature . this was done using three different soils, i.e. from Egypt (NO. 1) , from the Bavarian forest (NO. 2) , and from the Donau valley (NO. 3) |
