Abstract The aim of this study is to lay down fundamentals for using vibration analysis for the diagnosis of mal per”formance in machines by obtaining a diagnostic spectra catalogue of the machine which contains a group of vibration spectra with without faults. Measured various conditions with and spectra of the machine can be obtained and compared with those in the catalogue to predict the presence of faults, their probable locations and their magnitudes. I t is the of purpose this work to set down a spectra for four-bar procedure for obtaining vibration linkage which may be used in the future for determining the condition of the clearances in this mechanism. The analysis is demonstrated on a four-bar plane mechanism with clearance at all turning pairs, using a continuous contact model. The mechanism is supported by a frame mounted on elastic foundation with damping ef f ecL The dynamic motion of the mechanism is analyitically treated, and seven coupled differentialequations for the contact angles and for the motion of the frame, and one differential presented. equation tor” the input torque, are The forces acting at the joints, the shaking force and moment are derived. Results f numerical calculations of the frame response to the dynamic motion of the mechanism are shown in time domain. Frequency analysis is made to obtain the vibration spectra or the motion of the frame. The effects of the amount of the variations of clearance, driving speed on the vibration spectra of .the mechanism foundation are cleared |
