Abstract
The present study consists of two mian parts, part one conducted in the laboratory and part two carried out in the nursery of faculty of Agrioulture , El-Minia Uni-versity . The aim of these trials was to find out some practical solutions for low germination percentage problem facing the seeds of two economically important woody trees name ly , khaya senegalensis and Koelreuteria apiculata , In addition , the possibility of accelerating seedling growth by some chemical aubstances and spread-ing out the cultivation of khaya tree in newly reclaimed land of sandy calcareous soil using some additive cheap materials were experimented
