Abstract Frist Experiment: Effects of Zn and / or Mn on tomato growth, yield component and plant uptake of some nutrients. Field experiments were conducted at the Res., farm, fac. Of Agric ElMinia Univ., in the two successive summer seasons of 1991 and 1992. tomato cv”UC-97” were sprayed twice after 30and 40 days from tans planting with Zn and / or Mn. Four levels i.e.; 0, 100, 200 and 300 ppm Zn as ZnSo4 and / or Mn as MnSo4 were applied. Second Experiment Effects of NAA and/or CCC on growth and yield of tomato Two field trails were carried on the Res. Farm, El-Minia Univ., in two successive summer seasons of 1991 and 1992. Tomato cv. ”UC-97” were sprayed twice before blooming stage with 4 levels of NAA i.e.0.5.10 or 15 ppm and/or 4 levels of CCC i.e. 0.250.500or 750ppm.The obtained results were:- 1- plant height: Increasing NAA rates significantly increased this character; whereas CCC alone or in combination with NAA showed significant reduction. 2- No.of branches/plant: NAA at 5 ppm significantly increased this character, whereas at higher rates significant reduction was obtained. CCC showed significant increase and highest value was obtained with 250 ppm. No. of clusters/plant: Application of NAA increased this character and 5 ppm showed the highest value. Increasing CCC level up to 500 ppm increased the number of clusters. The most significant increase was obtained from 5 ppm NAA and 250 ppm CCC. |
