Abstract
The thesis consist of three chapters. Chapter one is the introduction, chapter two represents the experimental techniques and chapter three contains the results and discussion.
Chapter I : In this chapter, an introduction was given which deals with the following fields of interests.
Historical background. Types of paints, general components of paints, methods of application, inhibitors in paints and mechanism of film formation. Forms of corrosion of painted metals and inhibition of corrosion of metals by paints. Literature review on inhibition of corrosion of steel by natural products and finally the aim of the work.
