Abstract Successful management of the airway and the Potential complications related to procedures undertaken to ensure its patency requires an understanding of basic anatomic features ( Ellis H et al., 1998 ) . Two external openings Lead to the human airway . The nose leads to the nasopharynx and the mouth leads to the oropharynx . These are separated anteriority by the palate but join posteriorly . The nasal septum divides the nasal cavity into two pyramids that contain bone , cartilage and sinus openings . |
