Abstract Ferrites are materials with unique characteristics. Ferrites have magnetic properties. In addition, ferrites behave as semiconductors. For such significance, ferrites have been launched in many technological applications. Among these applications, transformer cores, antenna, microwave devices, computer memory chips, magnetic recording heads, etc …. Recently, ferrites have been synthesized in nanocrystallite form. Nanoferrites have potential applications in micro electronics, biomedical and AC/DC converter, etc… Spinel ferrites have special structure where the metal ions occupy two sub-lattices, the tetrahedral (A) sites and octahedral (B) sites. According to the distribution of the ions among these sites, the physical properties of the ferrite can be adjusted. On the other hand, the required characteristics can be tailored through ions selections. There are several techniques that recognized to synthesize nanoferrites as sol-gel, coprecipitation, combustion and precursor. Mn-Zn ferrite is one of the most important and interesting ferrite. It belongs to the group of soft ferrite material |
