Abstract The aim of this study is to evaluate the most common types of operations used for hypostasis repair .specific attention is made to advances in surgical technique, postoperative care, and postoperative complications. We hope this study will provide valuable data about hypospadias surgery that enables us to select the most appropriate Technique for each variety of patients. Uroflowmetry was performed in 24 who had undergone oupf repair at our institution .selection criteria were that the patients were toilet trained and had no fistula. the maximum flow rate (Amax), average flow rate (Save),voided urine and ultrasound post-voiding residual urine were determined .the Amax and qave were plotted on body surface related flow rate monograms that correlate voided volume of urine to the qmay and qave. The results of uroflowmentry showed that 14 children had qmax above the 25th percentile ,seven between 5th and 25th and 3less than the 5th .a bell shaped flow curve was obtained in (83.4% ),plateau curve 2(8.3%) and intermittent curve (803%) The results of this study are promising in comparison with other studies in the same field. Hypospadais surgery is still challenging ,however, adherence to the basic principles of surgery and postoperative care can markedly reduce complications. |
