Abstract Congenital laryngeal anomalies are relatively rare, but may be life-threatening. Laryngomalacia is the most frequent cause, the 2nd most common cause is vocal cord paralysis and Subglottic stenosis is the 3rd common cause. New surgical techniques have been developed in the last 2 decades, not only as an attempt to treat the underlying abnormality, but also to avoid tracheotomies. |
