Abstract

The aims of this thesis is :
1. Suppose a framework for applying destination benchmarking process to the Egyptian destination.
2. Measure the tourist satisfaction of the provided services in the Egyptian destination.
3. Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the products, facilities, and services that altogether provide memorable destination experiences for vistors.
4. Show how the Egyptian tourist destinations meet their customer’s needs and expectations.
5. Compare the performance of the Egyptian tourist destinations and select the best in class.
6. How to manage the Egyptian destinations successfully.
The study reached serveral conclusions, including :
1. Sharm El Sheikh scored the highest statistical mean for airport service performance.
2. The accommodation performance through all surveyed Egyptian tourist destinations was acceptable and satisfacoctory to all respondents either domestic or international visitors.
3. Car park service performance did not achieve customer satisfaction in all studied destinations.
4. Cairo local transport service is performed the worst as this service didn’t achieve cutomer satisfaction and is not adequate for their expectation.
5. Attractions and places to visit through all studied destinations achieved satisfactory and acceptable performance for all respondents.
6. Tourist information center performance does not meet respondents’ expectations through all surveyed Egyptian tourist regions as they find difficulty in finding them.
