المستخلص Swmnary and Conclusion Despite the extensive efforts undertaken by Egypt in recent years for rapid social and economic development, there is a tendency for accumulating a host of baisc prob— levis in the fiN of education , health , housing and others Many of these services become short of basic requirement of its rapidly growing population. Furthermore • production of export crops and goods that accounted for the ma3or sector of Egypt foreign exchange has gradually declined over the past few years, In view of this deteriorating situation, several suggestions and solutions have been introduced of which one emphasized the urgent need for expanding the inhabited area into the desert t. reduce population pressure in the Nile valley and establish new agricultural communities in reclaimed areas.
