Abstract A total of 200 samples of raw buffalo’s milk were collected randomly from Cairo and Giza street Fourteen milk samples were positive to Yersinia enterocolitica with an overall prevalence rate of isolates were recovered during the colder months. Most isolated strains were biotyped as biovar ’Iia enterocolitica isolates were serogrouped in 4 different serovars. On making a correlation serovars and biovars of Yersinia enterocolitica revealed 5 sero/biovars groups. All Yersinia enterocolitica isolates tested for virulence markers. Experimental study of enterotoxin of isolates in milk was determined. The OMPs analysis of nine Yersinia enterocolitica by SDS- owed that OMPs contained about 7 - 11 bands. Antibiogram of isolates showed that enicol, colistin sulphate and tetracycline was the most effective antimicrobial agents. All Yersinia iiUea isolates were resistant to ampicillin, and penicillin G. |
