Abstract The objective of the present study was directed to perform a comparative study for the protective efficacy of different vaccine tormulauons either single toxoid vaccine or combined with Clostridial toxins to evoke protection against Cascous lymphadenitis and Clostridial diseases in sheep. Four different vaccincs were formulated and investigated tor their ctficicncy in protecting sheep against C pseudotuberculosrs. It was observed that antibody titcrs 01” sheep vaccinated \I ith tuxuid 1’1.1) vaccine showed the 11Igllestliter 01” I’I.D antibodv So. combination ottuxnrd Pll) allll (·Il)stmlial l·aCC1l1C tllgctlln stilllulatcd humoral immune response. It was observed that sheep vaccinated with toxoid 1’1.1) vaccine elicited pllsitlle prolucrauon response and strong cellular immune response. The present studv concluded that the toxoid PLD alone stimulated both humoral and cell mediated unmunc response and provided high level 01” protection against cascous lymphadenitis In sheep (9 I u/,,) and also the combined vaccine composed 01” toxoid I’LD and clostridial vaccine succeeded in stimulating both humoral and cell mediated immune response. hut protection was less than vaccination with toxoid I’Ll) vaccine alone. |
