Abstract Two field experiments were carried out at El-Gemmeiza Agricultural Research Station, El-Gharbia Govemorate during two successive seasons of 2008 and 2009. These experiments were carried out to study the effect of Microbein as a biofertilizer, mineral nitrogen at three levels (30,45 and 60 kg N/fed.) and three organic manures, i.e. pigeon refuse, sheep and compost manures either alone at the rate of 30 kg N/fed. and 45 kg N/fed. or at the rate of 30 kg N/fed. in combined with mineral N at the rate of 30 Kg N/fed., in addition to, without mineral or organic N or bio-fertilizer application on cotton leaf chemical composition, growth attributes, yield and yield components, seed quality and fiber quality of the Egyptian cotton (Gossypium barbadense, L.), cultivar Giza 86. A randomized complete block design with 4 replicates was used in both seasons, where the following treatments - Control (untreated plants), 2- mineral N (30, 45 and 60 kg N/fed.), 3- organic N in pigeon refuse manure form, sheep manure form and compost manure form, each in the rate of 30 and 45 kg N/fed., 4- the combinations of 30 kg mineral N/fed. and each of organic N in the three forms in the rate of 30 kg /fed. , 5- seed inoculation with Microbein and mineral N in the rate of 30 kg N /fed. , 6- seed inoculation with Microbein, Microbein addition once and 30 kg mineral N/fed. and 7- seed inoculation with Microbein and Microbein addition twice. |
