Abstract This study was conducted aiming at identifying the relationship between the nurse managers’ leadership styles and decision making and their effect on stafi nurse’s job satisfaction using a correlation study, it was conducted at Suez Canal University hospital in Ismailia, study sample composed of 26 nurse managers and 188 staff nurses. Data were collected using three structured questionnaires; the first one is the leadership profile consisting of two parts, the first part aimed to collect personal and job characteristic and the second part aimed to detenuine the leadership styles of nurse managers. The second tool is the decision making questionnaire it was adopted to assess the decision making of nurse managers. The third tool is the job satisfaction questionnaire aimed to identifying the level of job satisfaction among staff nurses. The results of the present study revealed that the highest percentage of nurse managers adopting mixed leadership styles more. |
