Abstract
Determine the qualities or traits considered desirable in teachers as viewed by nursing students and faculity staff members secondaly to inentify some characteristics of teachers rated above or below average by students and teachers and thirdly o compare thr judment of the student and teachers in relation to the characteristics rated as lrast and most important.
The study sample covered 200 students enrolled in the four academic years at the higher institute of nursing university of Alexandria plus 50 staff members 70% of whom were actual staff members at the higher institute of nursing and 30% were staffmembers teaching all sciences at the same institute.
