Abstract This study included 80 patients with presbyopia who came for refractive surgical consultation at Horus center, Alexandria, Egypt and Clear Vision center, Cairo, Egypt The 80 patients were divided into 4 groups. Each group included 20 patients. Each group was subjected to a specific technique of presbyopia correction. The patients were selected for this study according to the specific criteria mentioned in patients and methods section. As regarding the refraction, each group was selected according to the requirements provided with each manufacturer. The patients were subjected to certain examinations before surgery including: manifest and cycloplejic refraction, required near add, visual functions (UCDA, BCDA, UCNA, BCNA and DCNA), Scheimpflug photography, contrast sensitivity and measurement of wave front error. Routine ophthalmic examination including slit lamp biomicroscopy, applanation tonometry and dilated fundus examination were done in every patient. |
