Abstract

The aim of work is the synthesize of novel benzoxazinone and quinzolinone derivatives with evaluating their performance as antioxidant and anticorrosive.
This work is divided in to two part:
Part 1:
In this part benzoxazinone (2) used as astarting material for synthesis of new antioxidant and anticorrosive additive for lubricating oil.reaction of benzoxazinone (2) with aliphatic amine as formamide and acetamide give compound (3),(4) and with aromatic amine as aniline,p-toludine,o-anisidien,ethylp-aminobenzoate and p-hydroxybenzaldehyde give (5a-e).compound (5e) react with aceticanhydride, benzoylchloride and benzensulfonylchloride give (6a-c), with ethylchloroacetate give (7) , with chloroacetylchloride give (8). benzoxazinone (2) react with hetorocyclic amine as 3-amino pyridine,2-aminothiazole,2-aminobenzothiazole give (9-12). benzoxazinone (2),2(a-b-c) react with amino pyrazole derivatives(13-15),(13a-15c). then with hydrazine hydriate give (16) which react with different aldehyde as benzaldehyde , p-anisaldehyde, p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, p-chlorobenzaldehyde give Schiff base’s derivatives (17a-d), and react with aceticanhydride and benzensulfonylchloride give (18a-b),and with phthalicanhydride give (19). benzoxazinone (2) react with phenyl hydrazine give (20).
Part 2:
In this part study evaluation of the prepared compound as antioxidation additives for the tested lubricant oil using 0.1 g/liter of additives then measure total acid number, hydroxyl ,carbonyl ,ester , peroxide value of oil with and without additive and compound (10-15) exhibit the highest antioxidant activity .study the effect of additives concentration show the 0.1g/ liter is the more affective concentration
Evaluation of the oxidation products using ultraviolet radiation of oil without additives is high (312nm) due to the formation of carboxylic and aromatic acids together with α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids.
Thermal stability of the prepared antioxidant additives: using TGA, DTGA techniques. The results indicated that, these antioxidant compounds were thermally stable and could be used under different thermal conditions.
