Abstract: Since the fields of Instructional Technology is increasingly becoming an important fields of research, the researcher has conducted this study with on aim of investigating the effectiveness of using some computer applications in the developing teacher’s skills secondary school of designing and applying multimedia in teaching.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher surveyed the related literature that guided in designing the suggested program. The quasi-experimental research design was employed. A group of thirty secondary school teachers was subject to the training program. A pre-post test was administered to measure the effectiveness of the program.
Results of the study:
- A list of some of the skills of designing multimedia in teaching based on some computer applications, has been formulated.
- A list of some of the skills of applying multimedia in teaching based on some computer applications, has been formulated.
- A proposed program for developing teacher’s skills in designing and applying multimedia in teaching.
- The program proved to be effective in developing both the cognitive and the performance aspects related to using some computer applications in designing and applying multimedia in teaching.
