Abstract This study was aimed to evaluate the chemical coposition , antioxidant , antimicrobial activities of the volatile oil of Mentha pulegium leaves (Labiatae). and phenolic constitutents of methanolic extract of menthea pulegium leaves (Labiatae). Twenty one volatile compounds were identified by using gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) The results showed that the volatile oils mainly contained about 30.85 % 1-Menthol and 27.76 % 1-Menthone and sixteen phenolic compounds were isolated from methanolic extract of Mentha leaves. The present work has indeed been oriented towards the investigation of the potentiality of mentha oil to complex with REEs Extraction of valuable metals by organic solvents could be simply process in metal species in an aquous phase reacts with an organic reagent to form an organometallic complex. i) A solvent extraction process involves two main steps ; the extraction step in which the metal species leave the aqueous phase and enter the organic phase. ii) The stripping or re-extraction step in which the metal species retain back to the suitable aqueous in amore concentrated and pure form. The resultant strip solution is treated in subsequent circuit to produce a metal concentrate while the striped solvent is returned for cycle to extraction circuit. from |
