Abstract Nocturnal enuresis is a widespread condition that can result in poor self-steam for the child. It can also very stressful for the parents and other family members. Feelings of the parents may range from worried to frustrated, sad to angry, and even tired. This study aimed to assessing the impact of educational programme on self–esteem of children with nocturnal enuresis and their mother’s anxiety and depression. The study was conducted at Pediatric outpatient clinic of Shebin El-Kom Menoufia university Hospital. The total number of the sample was 100 subjects (50 children with nocturnal enuresis and their mothers). Data were collected using three tools, self- esteem inventory scale for the children, depression and anxiety scale for mothers and pre-post knowledge questionnaire in addition to sociodemographic data .The results revealed that there was a statistically significant improvement of the mothers’ knowledge, depression and anxiety post intervention. The children’s self-esteem was improved after the educational program with no statistically significance. Therefore it is recommended that psychiatric nurse; community health nurse, Pediatric nurse and school health nurse should offer counseling services for the mothers and their children regarding nocturnal enuresis, the educational program of the present study can be used as a mean for knowledge improvement for parents who have children with nocturnal enuresis and Establishing enuresis clinic in different hospitals in rural and urban areas to provide care for enuretic children.
