Abstract Objectives: The purpose of the present study was to evaluate wear, solubility and color stability of nanohybrid and nanofilled composite after immersion in food simulating liquids. Methods: Nanohybrid (Z350XT) and nanofilled (Z250XT) were used. Specimens for wear, solubility and color stability were fabricated in customized molds. Then they were immersed in the following dietary simulating solvents at 370C for 1 week: distilled water, 0.02Ncitric acid and 75% aqueous ethanol solution. Results: Ethanol had a signifcant effect on wear , solubility and color stability of both nanohybrid and nanofilled composites. Additionally, Nanofilled (Z350XT) composite showed less wear, solubility and color change than nanohybrid (Z250XT) composite in all food simulating liquids. Conclusions: Ethanol solution showed more effect than distilled water and citric acid on wear, solubility and color stability of both nanohybrid and nanofilled composite. Nanofilled(Z350XT) composite showed less wear, solubility and color change than nanohybrid (Z250XT) composite in all food simulating liquids. |
