Abstract Out of 71 eggs collected from different sources and different origins, the incidence of Salmonellae was in a percentage of 1.4%. Virulotyping analysis by PCR for 11 virulence genes (invA,avrA,mgtC,ssaQ,siiD,sopB,bcfC ,spvC, sodC1 ,sopE1 and gipA) were done on Egg and Human serovars (14), Highest virulence genes recorded were : invA and siiD genes that were detected in a percentage of 100% in each and avrA, ssaQ, mgtC, siiD and sopB that were detected in a percentage of 89 % and 100% respectively. gipA was absent in each. All 84 serovars showed different resistance pattern for 13 antibiotics (Ampicillin , Amoxicillin , Chloramphenicol , Streptomycin , Tetracycline , Trimethoprim , Ciprofloxacin , Colistin Sulphate , Gentamycin ,Lincomycin , Nalidixic , Norfloxacin and Neomycin). All serovars in this study showed highest resistance to Lincomycin (L), Streptomycin(S) and Chloramphenicol(C). Analysis of antibiotic resistance genes for all 84 serovars by PCR showed that Class 1 integron was detected only in Human,Turkey, Egg, Duck and Chicken serovars in a percentage of 90%, 71%, 56% , 26% and 11%. thdF gene of Left Junction of SGI1 was recorded in Turkey, Duck, Egg and Human serovars in a percentage of 80%, 56%, 40% and 33% respectively. yidY gene of right Junction of SGI1 was detected in Chicken , Duck , Turkey ,Egg and Human serovars in a percentage of 100% , 67% ,60% ,60% and 45%. int 2 gene of right Junction of SGI1 was present only in Turkey and Human serovars in a percentage of 40% and 11% respectively. aadA2 gene was detected only in Human serovars in a percentage of 44%. floR gene was present in Chicken, Turkey, Duck, Egg and Human serovars in a percentage of 100%, 60%, 22%, 20%, 11% respectively. |
