Abstract

The research aimed at studying the impact of Information Technology in hotel performance in four star hotels in Alexandria. How and why hotels adopt Information and Communication Technology to increase the level of satisfaction is a discussable debate nowadays, which is covered in the first chapter of this study.
To find about whether Information Technology is helpful in hotel performance, staff satisfaction, and hotel profitability some of employees and managers of hotels are chosen randomly as participants of this study and are given questionnaire in chapter two.
In chapter four, data were presented and analyzed in which the result supported the importance of Information Technology and as there is a close link between information technology and staff satisfaction. Quality of service, profitability of hotels, and chose the appropriate program running the hotel various Outlets. It is Mandatory to all four-star hotels to adopt the most adequate program, to satisfy its needs.
To reach the findings, each main research questions need to be answered:
5. Is there a relationship between applications of information technology in room’s division department in four-star hotels and increase the level of hotel performance?
6. Is there a significance relationship in adopting application of appropriate program of information technology in hotel and the level of service on room’s division department?
7. Is there a relationship between application of information technology in room’s division department and hotel profitability in four-star hotels?
8. Is there a relationship between some of high-cost updated programs and the Purchasing power, which makes some of four-star hotels unable to buy some programs, which affects the hotel performance in general? This study has reached to a set of results that reflect in their entirety for compendium of analyzes and discussions, in addition to the results of the testing hypotheses.
