Abstract The present investigation comprises a study of the struture, phasa and surface properties of two different preparations of nickel hydroxided, designated as preparation I and II and their dehydration products in air at various temperatures. Thermogravimetric, differential thermal and X-ray analyses were carried out on the two preparations. they revealed that preparation I is typical crystalline, while preparation II behaves as amorphous substance. the kinetics and mechanism of dehydration of both hydroxides followed mampels theory. |
