Abstract Heat Integration Networks (HIN) in chemical and petroleum industries have an important role in the energy conservation, total cost minimization and environmental problems issues reduction. Also, has been the subject of numerous investigations in the past decades because of their impact in the energy recovery of industrial plants. The design of the best heat integration network is an optimization problem where the total cost is to be minimized. A new technique is proposed to synthesis optimum HIN; aiming to obtain optimum results in decision making where large number of possibilities. Several industrial case studies have been discussed as application on the new technique. |
