Abstract The aim of the study was to: 1) Compare the efficiency of the applied maneuvers (the needle-and-wire maneuver and the chloroform-dipped gutta-percha maneuver) combined with the ultrasonic technique in the retrieval of the separated rotary nickel titanium files (long and short fragments). 2) Evaluate the amount of removed dentin linearly and volumetrically after successful retrieval with Digora digital radiography and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) imaging system, respectively. 3) Assess the operating time needed for successful retrieval of the separated rotary nickel titanium files (long and short fragments) on using the different maneuvers (the needle-and-wire maneuver and the chloroform-dipped gutta-percha maneuver) combined with the ultrasonic technique. |
