Abstract

Early detection of coronary artery disease is essential to initiate treatment and improve the prognosis of coronary artery disease (CAD). (3) Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI) is a rapid, inexpensive and noninvasive method for the assessment of both the systolic and the diastolic cardiac function and it has proved to be a useful prognostic tool both in the general population (5) , (6) and among persons with known cardiovascular disease.
