Abstract This study aimed to examined the effect of phytochemicals in different plants such as eggplant peel (Sane melongena), orange peel (Citrus xsinensis), artichoke leaves (Cynaracard nucleus) and pursalen (Portulaca oleracea) immune dysfunctions that mad by methotrexate drug (MTX). Sixty male albino rats, weighting 190-200g were divided into ten groups each with six rats. One of them was kept as a control (-ve) group, while the other nine groups were injected by MTX. The different plants were added at a percent of 10% from the basal diet and given as a single to 4 groups and the other four groups were take plants alcohol extract by oral and a basal diet only. Glutamic Oxaloacetic transaminas (GOT) glutamic pyruvic transaminas (GPT), creatinine, C - reactive protein (CRP), immunoglobulin’s M (IgM) and immunoglobulin’s G (IgG), immunoglobulin’s A (IgA) and immunoglobulin’s E (IgE) and complete blood picture (CBC) and histopathological changes were examined. The results demonstrated that both treated groups of artichokes and eggplant peel extract and artichoke leaves recorded enhancer significant in different immunoglobulins. Histopathological investigation confirmed the biochemical changes in the liver and spleen functions. |
