Abstract This study was designed for laboratory diagnosis of opportunistic microorganisms that infect children with acute lymphoid and myeloid leukemia and measuring the serum levels of Immunoglobulin A (IgA), Complement component 3 (C3) and complete blood count (CBC) parameters to children with acute lymphoid and myeloid leukemia before and during chemotherapy compared to healthy control children to evaluate the immunodeficiency. Also measuring the activity of SGPT, SGOT and levels of serum total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, and indirect bilirubin before and during chemotherapy compared to healthy control children to evaluate the effect of chemotherapy and sepsis on liver and finally controlling microbial infection with some natural oils to avoid using of chemically synthesized antibiotic during chemotherapy. |
