Abstract Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) is considered one of the most important sugar crops in many countries all over the world. In Egypt, sugar beet crop considers the second sugar crop after sugar cane, for sugar production. Sugar beet is liable to be attacked by several diseases, which cause severe losses in root yield and percentage of sucrose. Many fungal diseases infect sugar beet root such as damping-off and root-rot diseases. This study aimed to control of root-rot disease using fungicides and some alternative methods such as inducers and biocontrol agents as safe and cheap control means. |
