Abstract The studied area lies in the southem part of the North Eastem Desert of Egypt between latitudes 26° 31· 26° 45’N and lognitudes 33” I o· - 33° 25’ E, covers about 750 km 2 mostly of basement rocks. Fatira gold mine lies at the north westem part of the area. Geological studies, detailed field work including structural measutment were canied out. Metavolcanics, Metagabbros, Granodiorite, adamellite, Dokhan Volcanics, Alkali- Granite and Post-granite <lykes are the main rock units that were observed by petrob>raphic studies. The collected struactural data indicate four structural trends namely NE-SN, NW-SE, E-W, N S, to be the main trends of faults Joints and dykes, thier relative abundance and age (from yoanger to older) follow most probably this order. |
