This study evaluated the performance of the Egyptian investment funds and using of a comparative approach between Islamic investment funds, and traditional investment funds by identifying the extent of the use of the principles of fundamental analysis and technical analysis managers and diversification of principles by Islamic and conventional fund’s portfolio, and also to identify the relationship between the use of fundamental and technical analysis and diversification of portfolio fund and the performance of investment funds. A survey was used to collect data through personal interview of a selected sample of fund managers. In order to analyze the raw data for the study we used the statistical program SPSS to inter the initial data has been collected from the selected sample size (76) Fund divided between (62), a traditional fund and (14) Islamic fund. The number of correct forms that have been used was (49) representing 65% of the total sample size. Results of statistical analysis have shown that there are no statistically significant differences in most of the survey questions. However, there was a positive relationship between fund performance and fundamental analysis and technical analysis. There is significant correlation between fund performance and the level of portfolio diversification, study of the variables related both fundamental analysis and technical analysis have the strongest impact on the return on fund investment, The results also showed the significant differences between the return on the investment funds according to the age of the fund and there are no significant differences between the basic analysis or technical investment funds or diversification according to the age of the fund. Finally, the study found that there were significant differences between the use of fundamental and technical analysis of investment funds according to their size.
