Abstract Thermophilic organisms were classified as the organisms that have optimal growth temperature have a range between 45°C and 80°C. in this research we are highlighting in the antimicrobial activities and secondary metabolites production of thermophilic fungi that isolated from Egyptian soils and compost. The isolated fungi are Neosartorya fumigatus, Rhizomucor sp, Paecilomyces variotii, Melanospora sp, Aspergillus sp.MA2, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus terreus MAS1, Thermomyces lanuginosus and Aspergillus niger. After isolation of fungi, we used agricultural wastes as nutrient source such as (wheat bran, wheat straw, rice bran, rice hulls and rice straw) and present that the best agrowest in growth of thermophilic fungi and secondary metabolites production is wheat bran. After all experiments and TLC to all thermophilic fungal exteacts present that Aspergillus terreus MAS1 is the best thermophilic fungus that produce wide array of antimicrobial secondary metabolites.Next experiment is founding the best nitrogen source supported growth and secondary metabolites production of thermophilic fungi, by using organic nitrogen source (yeast and peptone) and inorganic source (ammonium sulphate, Potassium nitrate, ammonium chloride and sodium nitrate) in the growth of Aspergillus terreus MAS1 and present that, The result presented that, the best organic N source is the yeast extract and the best inorganic is ammonium sulphate. Finally we have the extract of Aspergillus terreus MAS1 and been identified and showing 6 chemical compounds: Linoleic acid, Phthalic acid ester, Ergosterol, Indolyl-3-carboxylic acid, p-Hydroxy benzoic acid and Uracil. |
