Abstract This investigation was carried out at the Nursery of Ornamental Plants, Faculty of Agriculture, El-Minia University during the two successive seasons of 2013 / 2014 and 2014 /2015 to study the effect of organic, mineral and bio0 fertilization treatments and their interactions on vegetative growth, flowering aspects, seed yield, fixed oil production and chemical constituents of borage plants grown in sandy soil. As for the main factor (A) was organic manure as compost which was applied at the rates of 0, 90, 180 and 270 g / plant, while the sub – factor ( B) occupied bio and / or NPK mineral fertilization treatments. Bio- fertilizars namely, microorganisms (E.M.) and Minia azotein (M.A.) were added around the plant at 50 ml / plant for each either individually or in combination with mineral NPK fertilizers which were added either alone or together with bio-fertilizer. NPK minerals were applied as ammonium nitrate (33.5 % N), calcium superphosphate (15.5 % P2O5) and potassium sulphate (48% k2O) and the treatments of them were as follows: 1- Control. |
