Abstract
No one can deny that the power stations are very important in our life. It is used to produce electricity to light houses, operate factories and many other important things. In this report I showed the description and operation of ELATF power station, it is located in Elmahmoudia- Behera -Egypt which I’m working in it. ELATF Power station is a combined cycle consists of two gas turbines, two HRSG and one steam turbine. I focused on gas turbine power plant and another report focused on steam turbine power plant. I explained the construction features of the gas turbine and I divided the gas turbine into 4 sections, inlet casing section, compressor combustor section, turbine cylinder section and exhaust cylinder section. In addition to that I explained the auxiliaries of the gas turbine such as lube oil system, control oil system, air system, fuel system, water injection system, GT instrument air system, purge air system, cooling water system and GT package ventilation system. Finally I explained the GT start and stop procedure and its troubleshooting.
