Abstract
Pancreatic cancer and chronic pancreatitis cause pain that necessitates the administration of narcotics, which could effectively relieve pain in the majority of patients, but they also have adverse events.Several mechanisms contribute to abdominal pain in pancreatic cancer and chronic pancreatitis including intrapancreatic neuropathic changes with damage of perineural sheaths.
