Abstract The main objective of this PhD thesis is to study the advanced trends for treatment of pollution resulting from petroleum industries. North Africa gas project was taken as an example for this study. All the technologies needed to purify the natural gas from the impurities i.e. acid gases; mercury and water vapor were studied technically and economically to achieve the required export gas specifications. Different software’s were used during the study of this PhD thesis to simulate the gas process facilities and gathering network. The air emissions, liquid and solid wastes of the North Africa gas project were studied. Methanol is the best choice to avoid hydrate problems in the process facilities of the North Africa gas project. |
