Abstract In this work we study a functionally graded disk which consists of two or more materials, its properties differ from one to another by a grading function. This thesis consists of three chapters Chapter 1:In this chapter we introduce a historical review about functionally graded disk, illustrate the meaning of functionally graded materials and its importance in real life. We deduce the governing equations in cylindrical coordinates. We also define the viscoelastic materials and viscoelastic material models. Chapter 2:We study a rotating functionally graded disk with variable thickness in hygrothermal environment, four cases are studied with figures. Chapter 3: Analytical and numerical nonlinear solutions for rotating variable-thickness functionally graded solid and annular disks with viscoelastic orthotropic material properties are presented by using the method of successive approximations |
