Abstract The present study was conducted to evaluate and compare between the effect of using parathyroid hormone 1-34 (PTH 1-34) and zoledronic acid (ZOL) separately or in combination, on microarchitecture, alkaline phosphatase activity of alveolar process and bone mineral density of rats’ mandible with glucocorticoid (GCs) induced osteoporosis via histology, histomorphometry, dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scan, scanning electron microscope (SEM), bone morphomety, and alkaline phosphatase enzymatic assay analysis. |
