Abstract A highlight on epidemiology, clinical, laboratory imaging and prognosis of patients suffering from end stage renal disease with secondary hyperparathyroidism hospitalized for parathyroidectomy.This study took the whole year of 2017, out of 20 patients who admitted with secondary hyperparathyroidism for parathyroidectomy in the nephrology department of Mansoura New General Hospital Males 65% compared to females aged about 40 to 55 years old.HTN was prevalent in 50% with duration median of 36 months, while DM was found in 35%.the day before the surgery , clinical and biochemical examination was done, and also the quality of life was assessed, then one week and three months after surgery.Significant improvement of the quality of life, weight gain and normalization of serum calcium and phosphorus were documented. |
