Abstract Abstract This study aimed at developing a multimedia English program based on the reflective approach. It also aimed at investigating its effect on developing English reading and writing skills of the Palestinian 10th graders students. Towards this end, 40 participants from El-Hirthany Secondary School for Girls in North Gaza Governorate were divided into two groups: the experimental group (20 students) and the control group (20 students). After developing and validating the instruments of the study,the participants in the two groups were pre-tested in the second semester of 2015/2016. The control group participants were taught their English course traditionally, whereas the experimental group received interventionadopting the proposed multimedia reflective program. Two statistical measures were used to analyze the data obtained. These were the t- test and the effect size. It was found that the proposed multimedia reflective program had a statistically significant effect on developing the reading and writing skills of the Palestinian 10th graders in Gaza Strip. |
