Abstract The objectives of this study were: 1. Comparing between the effects of using hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) versus risperidone on autistic children. 2. Determining the effect of using both of (HBOT) and risperidone therapy on these children. Patients and methods: This study was conducted on 80 autistic children divided into four groups: The first: 20 children were given (HBOT) sessions with 40 sessions in two months and after six months 40 more sessions. The second: 20 children and risperidone were used in prescribed doses for eight months The third: 20 children and was given (HBOT) as the first group and risperidone as in the second group The fourth (control): Consisting of 20 children and nonspecific vitamins were used in an irregular pattern Conclusion: (HBOT)and risperidone have a good therapeutic effect in the treatment of autism and their effect together is better than using any of them individually. |
