Abstract

This study considered first study in Minia Governorate for using some sugary feeding types (special extraction of Moringa) and their effects on some activities of honeybee. The experiments were performed in a private apiary at Smalot district, Minia Governorate from September 2015 up to August 2016. Four sugary feeding types: Glucose, Fructose, Molasses and Moringa extract (Moringa olevera L.). The study carried out in two experiment according to feeding period (the first during autumn and winter and the second during autumn, winter and spring) on some activities of honeybee as the following point: 1- works brood activity. 2- Amounts of stored pollen. 3- Bee number (Bee density). 4- Amounts of stored honey. CONCLUSION Highest amount of brood recorded during summer season in treated colonies with Glucose, Moringa, Fructose and Molasses, respectively, while lowest amounts recorded during autumn season in treated colonliswith Fructose, Moringa, Glucose, and Molasses, respectively. On a whole year, treated colonies with Moringa recorded highest amounts of stored pollen comparison with other treatments, while treated colonies with Molasses recorded lowest amounts. The lowest amounts of stored pollen recorded during autumn and winter season. On a whole year, treated colonies with moringa highest bee number, while treated colonies with molasses recorded lowest amounts of bees. In relation to bee number. it was found significant differences between molasses or moringa and both Glucose, Fructose and Control during autumn season, while it was not found significant differences. between Glucose and Control. Highst amount of stored honey recorded May and July in treated colonis with Morinnga, while recorded lowest amounts during February in treated colonies with Fructose. During spring season, it was found significant differences between stored honey in control calonies and both treated calories with Glucose, Fructose, Molasses and Moringa, while it was insignificant differences between treated colonies with Glucose and Moringa and also between Fructose and Molasses. During autumn, treated colonies with Moringa recorded highest rate of food consumption, while treated colonies with Molasses recorded lowest rate. Treated colonies with Moringa recorded good feelings effects on activity of bees than other feeding types.
