Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate adding APSto inactivated AI vaccine. In biosafety level III chicken isolators,165 Two-week-old SPF chicks, classified into:group I (N=35): Served as a control group, divided into 2 sub group of 10/each, at challenge time,(control negative&control positive).Placebo oil group; vaccinated groups with (0, 1.25, 2.5 and5 mg APS), (0.5 ml AI vaccine intramuscular injection).Blood& spleen tissue samples were collected PV & PC, and tracheal swabs PC for determination of SOD, GPx and MDA, and mRNA expression as IL-2, IFN-γ, IL-4 and IL-6 (by qrRT-PCR) in addition to antibodies quantitation by HI test and viral shedding. Results revealed that, the addition of APS to the AI vaccine could improve the serum antioxidants activities, and a significant up regulation in the expression level of measured cytokine genes in vaccinated APS treated chicks PV and PC when compared with vaccinated without APS.Antibody titerswere significantly increase with difference between AI vaccine without APS and AI vaccine with APS, 21 DPV.All vaccinated chicken had survival PC without any symptoms of infection. Virus shedding titers were decreased in all vaccinated groups compared to the corresponding non-vaccinated challenged control group 3 DPC.
