Abstract The focus of this thesis has been on developing new analytical insights for the analysis of seven chemical hazards (copper and sulfide ions, hydrogen peroxide, pyrogallol, indigo carmine, orbifloxacin and ciprofloxacin). This thesis is divided into six parts:1. General introduction about the investigated hazards such as, general aspect of environmental hazards and analytical review for the analytical techniques used for determination of the studied hazards in different matrices.2. Development of dual function polyamine-functionalized carbon dots for quantitation of Cu2+ and S2− ions3. Development Colorimetric and fluorimetric (dual-mode) nanoprobe for the determination of pyrogallol 4. Fabrication of fluorescein functionalized manganese dioxide for fluorescence “Turn OFF-ON” sensing of H2O25. Fabrication of Colorimetric and fluorometric nanoprobe for selective recognition of hazardous Indigo carmine 6. Mannitol capped magnetic solid-phase micro-extraction of polar drugs sparfloxacin and orbifloxacin from milk and water samples followed by selective fluorescence sensing using boron-doped carbon quantum dots. |
